I made a larger version of my tea cup, and now have more of a stein to drink from. I applied the same technique of using a brown and Rio Grande glaze to coat the mug, then applied a wet rag to wipe away the surface glaze. This allows for the glaze to fill every crevice and display the scratched, scraped and brushed texture much more :)
The glaze on the inside of the mug should be rather interesting to look at, as well. There are some greens, some crystals, and a new shimmer glaze glaze all mixed together to hopefully provide a magical splotchy light green. We will have to wait and see how it turns out :D
Also, the Art Club I run is having its first event of the semester tomorrow, and I am going to show how to make both Greek Pinch pots and Greek slab pots. It should be pretty fun, and if I really want to get into teaching design in the future, this will be a great experience, getting to teach a workshop.
